Been here over a year

We have been here a year... I can't believe it. One more to go.
Living on an island out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean certainly has been a lot different than when we lived in Hawaii.

It is hot here but also beautiful ..
I'll post some pictures now

Just another hot day,So what do I do ?

It is sooooo humid here. The temperature  is only in the low 80's, but with about 80 percent humidity it feels a lot hotter.

I'm happy to report that our air conditioning unit has been installed input bedroom and I would like nothing more than to stay in my room all day and let it run. But I think our electricity bill will be more than our rent. So, instead I go for a ride in my van before I pick up the girls from school. The speed limit is only 20-25 miles per hour so I have time to cool off before I pick them up.

I usually take a few photos as I'm always behind very slow drivers. Here's a few from today.

This is Pago Pago, the main town. I have to drive  in to go to the post office. Edwin works here in town.
This. Photo was taken right behind the American Samoa Government building.

More bats. I thought they were nocturnal?

Heard from our missionary

Woke up this morning with 2 emails, one from Dylan and one from Dylan's mission president.

I am so happy to hear he has survived his time in the MTc in Ghana, and has arrived all safe and sound to the mission home. He's ready to be assigned a companion and area and ready to go out and meet the wonderful people of Ghana. I'm so proud of him, and excited for him to have these new and spiritual experiences.

Wednesday...

So today started with a migraine. Not what I was hoping for today.  My hope is that my headaches will come fewer and farther between.

I picked up my medicine that I had mail ordered last Saturday, and it felt like Christmas morning!
Living with migraines really is a pain!!! Literally! Can't remember a time in my life when I didn't have them.  But I must say when we lived in Hawaii, years ago, my headaches were much better. So I am hopefully that they may improve here in American Samoa
